Senator Kelly, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Finance Committee Substitute offered on page 341. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 52(FIN) was adopted and read the second time. Senator Davis offered Amendment No. 1 : Amend Section 1, line 6 to read: (AS 08.84.010) -- June 30, 2007 [2001]; Senator Davis moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Leman objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSSB 52(FIN) Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 9 NAYS: 10 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Davis, Ellis, Elton, Hoffman, Kelly, Lincoln, Olson, Phillips, Torgerson Nays: Austerman, Donley, Green, Halford, Leman, Pearce, Taylor, Therriault, Ward, Wilken Excused: Cowdery Austerman changed from "Yea" to "Nay". Kelly changed from "Nay" to "Yea". and so, Amendment No. 1 failed. 2001-02-14 Senate Journal Page 0371 Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 52(FIN) was read the third time.
